Don't know, you shouldn't have to log in again. Unless you've been inactive for a bit: the login expires eventually.

What browser are you using?

I do think these matters should have been discussed BEFORE the new board was activated. This could have be accomplished by not being in such a hurry to close down the old board but run it for an extra week to get the views of members. It makes no difference whether the discussion was held on the ol...

You can prevent people from seeing any personal details about you by not entering anything other than your e-mail address on your profile page (your e-mail is required for user validation and for Administration purposes), and then selecting "No" for the "Always show my e-mail address:...

These are public forums, and anyone that has a valid e-mail address can join. The normal phpBB installation allows anyone to view profiles and also a list of forum members. We have disabled the latter as this tends to attract spammers. I'll investigate the options for hiding personal profiles, but l...

Thanks for the board title ideas, we'll have a think about them. :)

With 3627+ threads we probably won't find time to move existing posts into the new boards if we did re-arrange them :( but at least it might make it a little more obvious where best to post things.

And what is the point of the ‘Test’ section? After the first week no one will use it. The first week of what? People are joining the forum all the time (we hope :| ) The test board allows anyone to try out posting, adding photos, etc. without creating "junk" messages on the main boards. T...

To a certain extent, yes. Each username has to have a unique e-mail address, so it’s more fiddly and time-consuming to register with multiple identities.

Can you tell me more about your computer setup? Are you using Internet Explorer or a different browser? PC or Mac or something else? What is your screen resolution? I should be able to fix it so that you don't need to scroll. It has been tested in IE7, Opera and Firefox in a 1024×768 window (full-sc...

Actually quite a bit of thought has gone into the new boards, even if it's not immediately obvious. The categories are largely the same as on the old board, so that the old messages could be imported – there's quite a bit of useful information on the old board that we didn't want to lose. With the n...

The old boards had reached the end of their useful life, and were becoming a problem to maintain. The time was taken setting up the new boards on a new server, installing several "mods" for additional features (e.g. adding pictures to posts) and for security (to prevent automated message s...

Not sure what the problem is here, but I'll look into it and try to fix it soon.
