Go for it!

Re: Is This Mick F ??

Mick, good morning - sorry about the personal pic, hope that you are not embarrassed to be unmasked. I've found something on this box called Microsoft Picture Editor- I had it all the time and did'nt know - and by reducing the number of my pixels I can now upload pictures to this Forum. What I dont ...

Down ere in oggy land tis farmer's wives what do chase cyclists.

'Come ere, me loverley - have you seen the size o' me pasties?'

I always carry a Farmer's Wife Dazer just in case.

End to Enders beware!

It's easy to spot a Cornish cyclist - he always has a pasty in his hand, like the 'Pilot' in my Picture!

Re: Trendy, but Invisible!

There we have it then - 100% of you who have replied so far (1) agree that a nude cyclist is easy to spot.

Wait until the judges hear about this one! - I'm reducing your compensation because you were wearing clothes - let this be a lesson to you!

Re: Monty Python

Just heard that things have been updated to include "Bike Hut Man".

Orange 'Y' fronts, with computer and digital output reader, confronted with broken bicycle.

'Nah mate - can't get the parts no more - you'l have to buy a Carrerra'.

Sad, but true.

Re: Trendy, but Invisible!

Hello. Well - I started this post, and don't want to see any more arguments. So there. Whatever your thoughts on this matter, if anyone really does think that wearing hi-viz does not give you a better chance of being seen - whatever the ability of the driver - please speak now. Right, no answers hav...

Re: Lights in fog

Oh, good! - the advantages of riding ancient machines! Good to know that both of my current bikes are outside this legislation (and both of my cars are tax free as well!).

2 Tubs - yes, go ahead with your plan - but it's always best in winter to wear hi-viz underpants on Dartmoor. Well-known local custom.

Re: HELMET SURVEY & COMMENTS REQUEST

More car drivers are injured every year, the great majority of serious injuries being head injuries. Why is no-one doing a survey to see what car drivers think about wearing a helmet all the time? Could it be that we know the answer already? I've been riding now for over 50 years, and yes - had a fe...

To become 'illegal' might require the presence of a policeman - and I happen to know that the only one on duty in Cornwall this week is in Redruth - so you ought to be quite safe.

Re: My 'Bucket list'

Hello, Alan. As usual Mick is a sound source of information and common sense - take heed! I'll add my contribution, for what it's worth - firstly, don't worry! If you like camping, then camp - if you don't, then b & b - simple really! Go on your own - it's less hassle. Don't do it as a fundraise...

Re: Touring Advice

Hello, good luck with planning your ride. Keep looking at the 'For Sale' section of this Forum, many decent bikes appear there - and you don't need a brand new, all singing all dancing model either - something that fits you well is much more important than 'image'. Put a post in the 'wanted' section...
