Re: The 2009 Two Daughters Tour

All you need at the moment is Ass yw euthek an gewer! (what awful weather!) 'appen as like, lad! 'm off fer t'brew. (yes, we have also lived in Lancashire - Trough of Bowland - but sort of more Latte than Black Puddin'. We were always known as the 'offcummuns' - which I think is colloquial for those...

Re: Off the Bike

Mick, I wonder if you 'just think' every time you descend the hill towards the bridge - it's bad enough trying to stop in a car sometimes when it's wet (and motorists coming the other way ignore the 'single lane priority' signs) - and as you say the weather recently has been less than good. Howver -...

Re: Depart from LE on Sunday 2nd August...

Being the technological wizzard that I am, I can't get the route thingy to work - perhaps the batteries are flat already? Is there a new Masochistic Cycling Society that I've not heard of? - poor old Mick and poor old me, we say this to people so often - it's along way from LE to JOG, it can be quit...

Re: The 2009 Two Daughters Tour

Ledbury B & B - there are some people called Brazier who advertise in the CTC magazine - haven't got one with me so can't help with a phone number - regular ad, so I'm sure that you can find it! Why not go to Brittany for a change? http://www.af3v.org regards, Braz. (and no! - just a happy coinc...

Re: Pictures of your bike(s)

Not exactly my bike, but I remember that Mick F had both a lot of grass and a sloping lawn, so I hope that a pic of this bicycle powered lawnmower might be useful.

regards to all, Braz.

Re: Trendy, but Invisible!

Oh good - I love a debate! It is a systematic failure of the way we look at driving to imagine that giving motorists more information will lead to them using it to increase safety. Regrettably, you can't know that - it's just a subjective opinion - as is mine. What we have found is that, when riding...

Re: Trendy, but Invisible!

2 Tubs - I think I know what you mean! I have an advantage over most drivers in that I'm also a cyclist, of the touring version, and cover many 0000's of miles a year on two wheels - so perhaps I'm more aware of cyclists than most drivers. Having said that, I like to think that I'm more aware of eve...

Re: Felicity Kendall

Mick, just caught 30 seconds before I turned it off - becasue I get 'turned off' by the media turning out these 'decorative but dim' people who they think will enhance programs. But then I'm an old codger now, and can remember when blonde came naturally rather than out of a bottle - if you take off ...
