Re: advice on adding pics to ads please

Reading that the picture spec may have changed, so I'll try and load something here.

Mick - enjoy!

Re: grumpy old man rant

Any relation to that well-known cycling author? If so, can I have a discount on your books, please? There always seem to be lots of decent bikes from the 70's and 80's for sale on this site and on Ebay, as long as you are a bit careful what you look for - there is a Raleigh Clubman on at the moment ...

Re: Felicity Kendall

Mick - that dish was Tripe - would have thought that a Mercian owner might have known all about longevity, style, design, intelligence, practicality, and companionship - rather than just being influenced by a made-up face. Bet she shops at Bike Hut................ but please don't take me seriously!...

Re: Which mirror for a long tour?

Hello, personal preference I suppose, but I've used 'Mirrycle Original Mirror for Drop Bars' for a while with great success - multi-adjusable, and give me plenty of rearward vision. As used by Josie Dew (see pics in her books).

None of them are very expensive.

Re: advice on adding pics to ads please

Mick, the only way I can make my pictures smaller is with scissors - I really am sorry, but it's all over my head - I still don't know the difference between Mb & Kb - and how many of each you get to the pound. As you rightly say, why can't I just 'copy and paste' - it works with Word and Excell...

Trendy, but Invisible!

We get a lot of E - to - E riders passing through at this time of year, many of whom are wonderfully kitted out with smart biles, matching paniers, all the latest clothes - and are almost impossible to see at times! If we take the road from Liskeard to Callington (A390) as an example - narrow, quite...

Re: A361

Tiverton west to Barnstaple/Ilfracombe - on the 361 - can get horrendously busy with holiday traffic - best avoid it if you can. There is an alternative route, either north to Bampton and then South Molton, or south to Rackenford and on to South Molton that way. Warning! - both are very hilly! - we ...

Re: Felicity Kendall

Why don't they show the Women's Tour de France - some real women there!

"Well then, big boy - do you want to come up and see my sprockets?"

Failing to resist salivation.

Re: Bike postage to Europe

There is quite a good site that may help: http://www.totalfrance.com that has adverts along the lines of 'can anyone help with transport?'. Have a look and see. If all else absolutely fails I'll be going over later on this year to the Loire area with a vehicle that could take your bike - if that mig...

Re: Do i ? or don't i

Hello again, Rob - Braz here. As usual all the advice on this thread is quite sensible, so I'll not try and better it but simply say - go and do it, enjoy it, and you will be fine.

Have fun!
