Re: Forks with 1" steerer to fit 34mm headtube - headset?
Hello again - yes I think I have an old chrome steel headset with broad enough flanges so it won`t disapper up the headtube, so they would be great. I`ll pm - Regards, Julian

Forks with 1" steerer to fit 34mm headtube - headset?
Is there any way I can arrange for a 1" steerer tube to fit into a headtube with internal dia of 34mm, which would normally accept a headset for a 1 1/8" steerer?
Many thanks if you can help, Julian

The name of that resistance bearing turbo trainer - `90`s
It looked very much like a set of rollers but just had a fork clamp at the front - the rear sat on a pair of rollers with a built in resistance due to the nature of the bearings - it was very well made & folded up very neatly.
Great if you can remind me!

Look / platform pedals
Is there such a thing as a pedal which is a look cleat clip in on one side & a flat platform on the other?
Cheers if you can help!

Re: Fork Column snapped
I think there was a Dutch or Belgian tradition of shoving a length of broom handle down the steerer to the fork crown `just in case`.

Re: Fake leather bar tape
Thanks for the info - I too can`t see how real leather would survive eg a soaking witout some damage. I`ll have a try of the other brands, Love the Raleigh, I remember hauling mine up Holme Moss - it was freezing but it warmed me up!

Fake leather bar tape
Having finally run out of years worth of stock of bar tape, need to actually buy some new. I`ve found some brands which are new to me & spotted some fake leather type which seems attractive enough, and obviously cheaper than the real thing. Can anyone recommend a brand/pattern please?
I used to like the old Cinelli with the little bit of foam in the centre. Wrapping bars always takes me ages so don`t want to do it twice!
Many thanks, Julian
