Re: march lejog cycling partners

Coll,

I would really recommend you try and use some of the Travelodges, I used quite a few on my lejog and they were well worth it, I got them for £15.00, I also used the SYHA at Oban again for that it was £12.00.

Re: march lejog cycling partners

Hi there coll, On day 1 are you actually going to do that distance?. On Day 5 you will be in my neck of the woods Preston Area, so if you would like I can meet up with you and cycle the best part of the day, I see that you are going straight through the centre of Preston, there is another way around...

Re: St Helems to Morecambe

Hi, I have just looked at a route for you, I have started it at Charnock Richard on the A49 just by the services, heading up the A49 just north of Chorley then heading NE towards Samlesbury Airfield through the country lanes, then onto the A59 for a couple of miles, then towards Ribchester, this is ...

Re: 8 day LEJOG in August

I went the Isle of Arran way last August, found it to be fantastic with excellent scenery, however ensure that you turn up for the ferry early, not like me, I arrived at the ferry port just as it was leaving, this put me back over 4 hours, I arrived in Oban at 22:00hrs wet, cold and wind swept.

Re: Looking for people who have made the journey for intervi

Do any of the 'Forumites' remember reading about two lads, Uni Students I think, doing Lejog with a difference; in that they had no bikes or clothes other than under pants when they started? :o I read their blog some years ago, but have not managed to find it recently. This would make a really good...

Re: what tires for LEJOG

I agree with Barney Bear.

That green slime gets everywhere when it squirts out, especially when you are cycling behind somone who has it in their tyres.

Re: MONITORING POLICE FORCES

Just got back from Scotland, the driver still said that he did not see me or even that he had hit me, the witness for the prosecution explained the incident very well. The driver was found guilty and recieved 5 points on his licence, he already had 6 for speeding, and I have recieved £415.00 in comp...

Re: MONITORING POLICE FORCES

Whilst doing LEJOG August 2011 I was involved in a hit and run in Wick, after getting off the floor and detaching myself from my bike I chased the Tw** and caught him, first thing he said to me was sorry I didn't see you, I took a photo of him and his car and went to the local police station, the co...

Re: Very bad Weather coming to Scotland

Because this is the Lejog Jogle board, for info to people that are doing the cycle ride and they may need to reassess what routes that they are doing during this bad weather.

To those cyclists that are also out and about in Scotland and Northern England, PLEASE AlSO BEAWARE.
