Re: Statistics on the news

It's a notifiable illness, so official records are kept. Indeed. I was severely ill for about 3 weeks following a trip to France a few years ago. When the doc finally diagnosed Campylobacter, I was sent the government form, which I seem to remember extended to about 20 pages. The first question was...

Re: I think I'm in the wrong shop

......one of our £20,000 bikes ......... HOW MUCH!!  What spec are these bikes, and what makes them so expensive? I had a look at their website. Hand-built Italian frames for professional racers would not come cheap I imagine. It turns out I was wrong about the pricing of the bike fi...

I think I'm in the wrong shop

Had some time to kill today between appointments in the City (of London, that is). Spotted a bike shop so went in to browse. Now, I should have guessed what was coming when I saw the sign to press the buzzer and wait to be let in. While I was wondering whether to bother, a young lad opened the door ...

The article mentions they have diesel powered generators so they can run on non-electrified routes as well.

If your cat is anything like ours, her eyes are shut for about 23.5 hours a day so recording the retinas would be a non-starter.

And my RVM of choice(I've tried a couple including a Zefal one)is a Cateye BM300G (£6) I have one on all my/our bikes, wouldn't do without one nowadays. Plus they don't break even if the bike falls on them,if fitted correctly they just fold up out of the way :) A brilliant bit of kit. That looks exa...

Re: Anyone not been hit by a car

I've never been hit by a car, but I did ride into a stationary Reliant Robin once. I think equal damage was sustained by the car and my left knee.

Re: Traveling by Train.

The reason this is interesting is that only one of these systems has the facility to let you book a bicycle place at the same time as your journey and seat reservation. That one is the East Coast reservation system I don't think that is correct. I booked a cycle reservation on the ScotRail site abo...
