Re: slipping off the airbed
Make sure it's a flat pitch and try letting a bit of air out.

Re: Bent brompton seatpost
I just managed to get it out, bent like a banana.
. Had to resort to the big hammer though.

Bent brompton seatpost
I hit a big pothole last night and now my Brompton seatpost appears bent where it enters the frame. It's impossible to slide it down to fold now.
I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem?

Re: were do big cyclist buy waterproof trousers from
I don't bother with them but I do use a cape and find it great. I have a Carradice Duxback which is waxed cotton. Slightly heavy but is very well made.

Database of A roads with cycle lane
Hi,
Having recently returned to the UK after 10 years in Belgium I'm shocked at how bad A roads are for cyclists. A list of good ones would be useful.
However, not just the A roads are bad, many inner city roads have these 'token' cycle lanes that are nothing but an inconvenience to use, often ending up costing you time and causing frustration. I have also noted that those traffic calming islands that narrow the carriageway make it hairy as there is not much room for a cyclist and a wide vehicle at the same time.
This needs to come from government. Appoint someone with experience of Dutch and or Belgian cycling knowledge who can shake up the system to change it.
One fundamental difference over there is that cyclists have the right of way in many cases. Cars have to wait. Here cyclists are seen as a minority that just get in the way.
Anyway rant over
Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present.
