I think it's only fair to point out when someone is selling something at a higher price than it can be bought from new. Not everybody using the forum is experienced and knows how much things should be and where to get bargains from.
This site should be a trusted place of good advice for beginners and more experienced cyclists alike. Not somewhere where people sit back and let people pay over the top.
I would be ok with someone pointing out to me that something was over priced. Might feel a bit silly for not checking the prices when I bought it, but that's life!
