Re: ASL's
They provide a quick-cut-you-up-start for somewhat ignorant motorcyclists who don't understand the rules of HC178

This dingbat entered the ASL on my right behind me, moved over to the left and cut me up. Getting fed up with some bikers attitudes....

It's worth noting that in london, Mayor Boris had his election campaign partly funded by a motorcyle courier firm. Here are their riders in 'action'

Re: Little message for Sustrans and local authorities...
I was once cycling to work in Bristol and was astonished to see a guy, early 20's, riding a motorbike along the pavement with no reg plate and without crash helmet in broad daylight. He managed to get the motorbike through the barriers in Victoria park, south Bristol. In the same park, I was walking home when I saw a bloke loading some mini-motorbikes from over the park wall and into the back of a van while two kids in crash helmets stood beside him. Obviously a law abiding parent (NOT!
) letting his kids loose on motorbikes in a public park.
The Bristol to Bath Railway Path occasionally has dingbats on motorbikes on it:

Apologies for my swearing but i was once almost hit by a moron going full tilt on the Railway path riding a full size trials motorbike.
