Re: CTC Poly Bike Bag and Easyjet Questions
I thought I'd add to this thread in case it proves useful to anyone
I was using my 1.9 kg unpadded fabric bike bag (£20 from fleabay) as a "floor" to my tent porch area, got chatting to a guy in Siena who had just got back from the supermarket with 5 euros worth of value cling film, his plan was to "wrap" the whole bike at the airport for the flight home, said he's done it a few times without any issues, It's probably a well know way of travelling without a bike bag, but was new to me and seem'd like quite a good idea.

Re: Introductions - tell us about yourself
Hello touring people, thought I should introduce myself
My real names Steve
I live on the tarka trail, about 8 miles out of ilfracombe in north Devon, so if any of you have done that particular coast to coast then you've probably cycled past my front door
I'm just about the right side of 50.
I'm a self employed artist (which sounds way more pretentious than it really is)
i've got about 30 bikes. most of which cost no more than a tenner from the local dump (or recycling center as it's now known) it's one munute from my work and I have very little self control
I've only ever toured on my own. but I'm trying to get the other half and our 9 year old into it so I figured I'll be needing some advise and networking etc.
Looking forward to some interesting discussions
