I didn't imply that there was anything wrong with riding 2 abreast, only that it will generate more bad feeling than riding single file. Being in the right or wrong is pretty much irrelevant on the roads these days as I'm sure most will agree.

Yes, you're over reacting and yes, you should chill out. If you insist on riding 2 abreast then get used to being given 'advice' from other road users.
