Re: What is this Land-escape tandem worth?

No, not disapointed I just hadn't heard where they were produced before. I had it in the back of my mind it was always Eastern Europe. It's been a good bike the only problem I had was mounting the front disc caliper I seem to remember. I ended up filing a little metal off the mount to get the calipe...

Re: myklops cycle mirror

Mine slip inside the body itself. The mirror is on a stalk which relies on a couple of rubber o rings to give it some friction. On a recumbent your arms are upright so the stalks poke out from the side. Couple of potholes and they twist round and drop with the vibration.

Re: Does anyone know why helmets vary in price so much?

Sad, you still can't have a normal discussion about helmets without the anti-helmet brigade jumping on the post.

What is this Land-escape tandem worth?

Ball park figure, I'm aware it's only worth what someone will pay for it. Todays framesets seem to be around £1800 and are slightly different. I'm thinking of selling it as the Stoker seems to have lost interest. It's in very good condition with BB7 discs. I just haven't a clue where to price it. P ...

Re: myklops cycle mirror

Update on the Myklops - they aren't very good. I bought two when I had the recumbent and they were always slipping and altering themselves. Very very poor for the money!

Re: Changing a tube?

Just remembered ....... df riders don't like them! Everyone in our club just had to get in front, they couldn't draft it and I didn't dare close up on a back wheel with those chain teeth out front. I did get some pb times on the flat and thrashed everyone into the wind. So, not all bad!

Re: Changing a tube?

:D I liked it but I didn't love it. To be honest I was throwing more and more money at it and still not getting there. One of my knees was always in pain after a ride (the one that was operated on years ago) so the next step would have been to change the cranks. The final straw was jamming my heel o...

Re: Paypal and buy selling over the internet.

I'm not sure if it's even PayPal's fault. It would appear to be a loophole some people know how to exploit. The old days of 'sold as seen' don't seem to stand. I guess it costs the buyer nothing to try it on. I might add I won the case but it's entirely at PayPal's discretion. I had proof that he'd ...

Paypal and selling over the internet.

Sorry if it's the wrong section? Back in February I sold my much modified Cannondale Hooligan over the internet. To anyone not familiar with this bike it's almost an adults BMX with a small cult following. People buy them and customise them. I bought one and turned it into a race bike. When the time...
