M540’s So what does double the price give you over a pair of M520s, that will last 10 maybe 20+ years (I've still got a pair from the 1990s that are still running OK)? I did a Manchester to London charity ride along time ago. I was suffering with a cold and although I completed it, became ill with some kind of post viral illness. Which was never diagnosed, it lasted about six weeks. I therefore don’t recommend it.

Hi, Not going to give you advice on a bike as what other people have said is sound advice. Stay away from anything with suspension though. I guess you are not a very experienced cyclist, have a look on line most local authorities have courses to get you started and give you confidence. Road rider re...

Thanks I got one on without levers, but still trapped the tube. I’ll fit the tyres without tubes and leave them a couple of days, see if they stretch.

Wheel and tyre diameters

I seem to remember seeing a chart of wheel and tyre actual diameters. I bought some Vittoria Rubinho tyres and they are a very tight fit on my Mavic Aksium wheels.

Folding tyre

Does anyone know how I can tell if a tyre is folding or not. They are Schwalbe Marathon Plus, they appear very rigid but I cannot see any indication as to whether they are folding or not.
