Vintage cycling jerseys

Just back from a trip to Florence and there was a great flea market on Sunday. After much searching I found a guy selling about a dozen or so vintage wool cycling jerseys. They were awesome! And I negotiated a good price. Unfortunately they were all too small for me. Damn! http://i139.photobucket.co...

Re: Viscount bicycles!!

Thanks for that Sooper8. Do you still have the details of the supplier of the Viscount seat? There is a second hand one on ebay at the moment, but a new old stock one would be better as it would not have already been streched to suit another persons bum. You could p.m.me if you like. p.s. i like the...

Re: Viscount bicycles!!

Hello again all. What saddle would best suit the Pro ? Or??? My son bought this NOS Viscount (Brookes style) leather seat off eBay for his Pro. Looks great and is Viscount but man alive, it's like sitting on a razor after the first half mile. The seller had a couple more and had dropped them to £35...

Re: Alternative to Galaxy

But the question is....are Mexican made Strat's as good as US or Japanese Strat's? I had a Mexican Tele and never bonded with it. Even in terms of looks and finish, next to US or Japanese they feel a little inferior to me, but then again, you get what you pay for and they are a little cheaper. But ...

Re: Alternative to Galaxy

I picked up a Ridgeback Panorama for £800.00 (brand new) so if you shop around especially around this time of year you may find a heavily discounted Tourer under a grand. To pick up Sooper8's point, there is a Japanese company called Tokai who made Fender style copy guitars and were so good that Fe...

Re: Alternative to Galaxy

Country of origin/manufacture is a question on several other none bike related forums I am member of.... I think most people will have some bias one way or another, but my experience is to never judge until you've tried. I have 2 Japanese made Fender guitar's. Both in every way as good as the US equ...

Re: Viscount bicycles!!

Hello Sooper8 Just to make you feel a bit better about the bike,it had been listed as a 53cm frame,it is actually 23". Which is my size, the 53cm would have been some what too small for me.On viewing the bike the size was right for me. It was a lucky day for both of us. That does indeed make me...

Re: Viscount bicycles!!

Hope everyone will still speak to me. Indeboat, congratulations! No hard feelings.... I really wanted that one. Mainly because of the frame size, more than the condition. Gotta admit I am envious of you. And I suppose I should say sorry for pushing the price up on you. I think there was another bidde...

Viscount bike

My son bought an Aerospace Pro last month - we weren't aware of what it was till we came on this forum. He's really done it up nice and it looks stunning. He has a couple more tweaks to do and it will be a real beauty! (anyone here have any crank end caps that might have been on it?) (We have a sour...

Re: Viscount bicycles!!

My son just picked up this Viscount, it arrived today (his second in the last few weeks - his Aerospace Pro is up on the page before this one) Here's a quick and dirty snap straight out of the box He's tidying it up at the moment and looking for wheels etc. It's in not bad shape too. http://i139.pho...
