This sort of thing happens on a regular basis to cyclists.
Now JV has experienced it it's got some airing.
I hope the woman gets her licence taken away.
I guess nothing will happen though. We live in a car culture in this country, which is why I'm moving to France next year.

Chris Boardman on Hard Talk
People seem to complain when I put something like this on "Campaigning and Public policy" but I don't think it should be her either as the Tea Shop is for "non cycle related chat".
Clearly there is a void when it comes to things like this.
Anywhooooo.......

Re: What should Jeremy do?
In my 46 years JC has been the only person that has made me feel like voting (well, him and Tony Benn) so if JC goes there's nobody there.
I don't want "Labour light" or "Diet Labour" or any right wing version. I want the real deal.
Amazing to see just how many Blairites there were in the Labour party. But I suppose if you want to attack someone then it's always better to work from the inside, a sort of "have your friends close but your enemies even closer" type of thing.
Now he's free of them I hope he'll see it out and learn from his mistakes and stick to his convictions because , like I say, there simply isn't anyone else that I'd feel like voting for. I'm not alone in this. A lot of young people have been impressed by him and, like me, have taken an interest for the first time because of him.

Re: Blog on tour?
first of all +1 for Whatsapp
but i'm not sure why you don't use Facebook ? Is it because you don't want "all and sundry" see it ? if so then you could just create an add on page just for your tours which only your friends and family could see. Seems if you like FB generally this would be a good option.
I would still keep Whatsapp as it's got really good features.

Re: Cyclist passing law approach, BC v CUK
I agree with meic that just by having the law would make a big difference. Getting it into the heads of the motorists that it's actually a thing to be taken into consideration.
I also have had good experience in France and also better in Spain. I do, however, agree that in built up areas in France and Spain you get less passing clearance but proportionally it's still a lot better than the UK.

Today a young man on acid realised that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such thing as death , life is only a dream and we are the imagination of ourselves.
