Re: campag ergo levers for a triple chainset
I have used both triple and double Campag Centaur compact chainsets with my Centaur levers without any problems, both work perfectly.

Re: Track pumps
I have had my Topeak JoeBlow track pump for about five years also, and it has pumped up an awful lot of tyres effortlessly in that time. I replaced the innards with their head rebuild kit this week, and at £1.70 something, I’m not complaining.

Re: Stolen bike on ebay?
I once found a damaged Ciocc at the local tip, complete with everything apart from the back wheel, mostly Campag record equipped. The guy there said it was only going to be trashed so I could take it away if I wanted. Its a shame the frame was twisted, the tubing was incredibly thin, and probably the lightest non carbon bike I have ever come across. The parts came in handy though

Yes, I prefer the five visible arms too for the same reasons.
My next one will be the same, though at the moment I am undecided on the chainrings.

Re: Its new multi tool time
I have a Crank Brothers multi tool too, and it’s excellent. I used it yesterday for a roadside repair, it’s a strong piece of kit and has tools for most jobs.
What it doesn’t have is sockets for nut tightening, should you have an older bike without allen key fittings, though some models may have.

Re: Stronglight New Impact Triple...any good?
Thanks for the info all.
I'll mull over the possibilities while on holiday next week and order something when I return.
I must say I really like the 24/34/46 combo, it makes the hills around here so much easier.

Stronglight New Impact Triple...any good?
I recently bought a New Stronglight Impact triple chainset from Spa Cycles, and am very pleased with it, though so far I have not covered any great distance with it.
I liked it so much I was going to order another for my best bike, but unfortunately at the moment they are out of stock. Talking to a salesman there he told me that there were better options anyway, based on the TD – 2 cranks and different chainrings.
I am curious to know if the chainset I have is generally regarded as not being quite up to scratch, do the rings wear more quickly, or are the cranks inferior to the TD – 2 cranks, which at £20 seem very cheap to me.
I am sure many here will have experience with most of the touring type chainsets that Spa sell.
Thank you.

Re: Congratulations to Campag
If Campagnolo were that interested in what their customers want, why don't they produce a more sensible triple chainset, I sure that many would buy one, including me.

Re: Multi-purpose pedals
I use Shimano PD-A520 Touring Pedals on all of my bikes. I have three pairs of Shimano touring shoes, two pairs are very old, but they seem to go on forever. They have recessed cleats and are very comfortable to walk in. I wouldnt want to walk miles in them unless I had to, but they are more than suitable for walking around town in.

Re: Reasonable quality cone spanner ?
Buy cheap, buy twice. You can't beat Campag quality. These look similar, but not identical to my ancient pair. I also wonder if they are as good, though it's not a tool you punish, is it.
