...thanks gaz ...I will see what happens first ...and of course ...report it here ...the spiel in the complaints link seemed to suggest that once the complaint was under way it itself was protected by Data Protection ...so I may find myself gagged regarding any further comment...!

...as the initial 'Negative Git!!' thread has now bean closed pending an internal enquiry ...I would just like to thank gaz for the Complaints Procedure http://www.cyclinguk.org/about-ctc/policies-and-procedures/constitution-and-rules/complaints-procedure ...but would add that through all the waffle...

er, your quoting of my pm sounds a little like you think it was a negative thing - not so, I was only trying to get some sort of explanation for you from a source more likely to reply than the CEO.. Of course there are two sides to every story, but I can't see any justification for calling someone ...

Wow! Agreed, completely out of order. Though just so we're clear about what preceded it, would Velocio mind providing the message which he sent to Oliver verbatim (omitting, if necessary, any personal information)? ...my original post on this thread contains all that's transpired from and to me ......

...a thread that has been viewed 205058 times (as at lunchtime 08APR16) ...must surely show that the membership are acutely concerned about the change to their Club they had no say in ...!

Wow. Was there any lead-up to that outburst? Have you corresponded with Oliver Foster before? I can appreciate that the officers may be feeling a bit besieged, but that's really not how to handle disagreement, being neither a polite dismissal/marginalisation or a reasoned challenge - probably both ...

...over the years I have been sent various Questionnaires and Surveys ...from the CTC ...usually as a separate sheet within the Cycle magazine ...but have never been asked if I would like the name of our Club changed to Cycling UK ...if I approve of the name ...or sought from me my views of a change...

...just realised that 'C.Y.C.L.I.N.G.U.K.' is an acronym for...'Club You Cyclists Loved Is Now Gone Un-Kindly'...!! :)
