I'm doing a tour to France in a couple of months time and want use my old 1970's Claud Butler Olympic Road bike bike to save on cost of buying some thing more suitable. Even though I'll be touring light, I think I'll sruggle with the AR Apex 50/42
chainset, but it doesn't take a smaller ring, so I'm on the lookout for something else; I can get a stronglight chainset 50/32 or whatever, but would prefer something more vintage if possible - I've looked on ebay and most of the old chainsets are 52/42 - could I swop out the smaller ring for something like a 32 or 28 tooth size on these vintage chainsets? If I can, would my old suntour f derailleur work ok or would I need to buy a new one? cheers, Leo

Re: Reducing File size
Hi all, I've finally sussed it out from someone on one of the other related posts; click on image, right side click on mouse, edit, resize(alter both horizontal/vertical), save as attach file, hey presto. As the poster said- easy peasy once you know how! Cheers all.

Re: Pictures of your bike(s)
Just though I'd post a pic of my first build. My British Eagle frame frame came out of a skip and after a respray, I put some of the components from my previous bike and some bought new like the stronglight chainset. The frame should be too big for me, but with a shorter stem, it's surprisingly comfortable and quite swift for a big old bike. It's like having a new toy - just can't stop riding it!

Reducing File size
Hi Everyone, The photo files I'd like to upload are too big and I've been having some trouble trying to reduce them. I've used the suggested link(Microsoft Windows) and have uploaded them to Windows Photo Gallery, but I've had no luck finding out how to do it. Apparentally, it's done on the Windows Photo Viewer. can anyone give me a step by step idiots guide of what I need to do - or is there a simple alternative method. Cheers all
