Its worth pointing out that what people say after an accident and what they say X time later when the...

Re: A loophole?

OK so instead of loophole maybe oversight might be a better word to use. It seems there are quite a number of hurdles to jump to successfully receive compensation.... witnesses, NWNF lawyer and the at fault party being able to fund any award. I'm guessing that self-funding a case would be prohibitiv...

Apologies, I was a little unclear..... I was actually referring to the crash victims inability to secure compensation.

Re: Charging your phone or tablet on camping tour…

On my tour, London to Paris and back I had no problem getting anything charged and that included 5 items. Can't vouch for inner Mongolia but definitely in Europe these panels seems to be aimed at people with more money than they need!

Devizes Camping & Caravan Club site for a few days on my trip from London to the south coast. Bit pedestrian I know.... Bike is under tarpaulin in the background.

Re: Solo night ride

Had the worst day in quite some time today. Anyway all now seems in order and I'm just doing a few last minute checks and making doubly sure that all the electronics are fully charged and ready to go. Tanking myself up on caffeine and a bit of pasta. Definitely going to stop at Gatwick for a coffee ...

Re: Solo night ride

Again some fantastic advice thanks everyone. 2 point have sprung to mind since Saturday.... What with the BiL it got me thinking on what sort of id I should be taking in case the worse happened. Originally I was only going to have my wallet with 2 bits of plastic and my phone. Anyone have any though...

Re: Solo night ride

Did you make it in the end? I didn't no. Brother in law got involved in a car accident late Saturday night. Didn't quite know at the time what had happened only info was from rather dramatic sister in law from hospital. Turned out to be a 'low speed' shunt but being Saturday night.... Have re-plann...
