Advice re tyre choice
Hello,
I have a 1970s MKM, with Mavic MA2 rims.
Currently I have tan Panaracer Pasela PT 700 X 28 tyres fitted. These were difficult to get on a couple of years ago when I bought the bike and a pain to remove this week, when I finally got a puncture.
A friend suggested that the folding version of the Pasela might be easier to fit, but I wondered whether anyone could offer advice on tyres that might be easier to fit and remove ?
The bike is used for day rides, so want something that is durable, but also possible to remove roadside in the event of a puncture !
Many thanks

Hello,
I need to replace the handlebar tape on my Ridgeback Panorama. Any suggestions for a comfortable solution ?
Thanks

Re: Forum subscriptions - watched forums
Sorry for the delay in replying, been a bit busy buying a bike !
Will try to gather 'evidence' and post here. It's not being treated as spam and I do receive some email alerts, but not many.
I am subscribed at the forum level, rather than a specific thread.
Regards
Simon

Re: Courier delivery for bikes bought and sold
Hello folks,
Thanks for all the suggestions. In the end I went with Paisley. Main point of course is that as with many of these companies they are just an intermediary and use the usual courier companies. In this case they used TNT, the pick up was fine, however delivery not so good. Having waited in all day, the TNT system suddenly said that I had been out when they called. Strangely, no card through the door, never mind a knock on the door. The lady on the phone could only tell me that the driver concerned had returned to base and gone home, so no delivery for me. Just driven to their delightful premises on the outskirts of Basildon to collect, as I couldn't face going throught the same rigmarole tomorrow.

Re: Couriers to use when buying a bike
Hello,
Thanks folks. It's a bike that I'm buying, but the chap selling it has sold a few. Bike will be boxed. A couple of people have recommended Royal Mail/Parcel Force, so they seem like a good bet.
Thanks
Simon

Hello,
I'm in the process of buying a bike from the CTC forum for the first time.
Can anyone recommend a courier to use to deliver within the UK ?
Many thanks

Forum subscriptions - watched forums
Hello,
I am subscribed to 'For sale - complete bikes only' and I believe that I am supposed to receive an email notification whenever something is posted to this forum. I have had a few emails since I subscribed, so I know that it does work occasionally, however there have been a lot of new postings that I have not received notifications for.
I spoke to a friend of mine about this and he said that it doesn't work properly for him either.
Are we doing something wrong ?
Thanks
Simon
