Have a listen to this one as well... http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/the_daily_politics/7788033.stm I mean - you cant be aggressive in your car can you? The police would hear about it. You would think so eh? Bless them - I thought it was a take like the superb Brass Eye "cake" sketch...

Re: Revenge

With a flat hand, hit the mirror as hard as you can! And then the driver runs you down out of anger. No jury will commit the driver for dangerous driving as they feel sorry for the driver. News papers report that cyclist attacks car. Drivers treat us all that little bit worse... Yeah. Win Win reall...

However I would need one stage further before I was to do it to them. It would have had to be a threat to my personal safety, not merely violating my priority. I think thats the main point. A cyclist tends to strike out with fear and anger that thier life has been endangered. A driver strikes out w...

Have a read here . If you work in London or Dublin you'll probably know Canadian Ryan, what you might not know is that he's recently been hit with a bill for about £1000 that, if left unpaid could result in deportation back to the colonies. One thousand pounds? You ask. Why so much? Well, the sum of...

If the Scottish roads were icy as was widely forecast on national TV., then it is probable they were exercising a degree of caution. If the road wasn't icy then maybe the cycle path was, so it would have been safer to be on the road. Knowing that bit of road and the cycle path in question - I would...

Similar thread over at SingleTrackWorld. CRC reply: Date: 02/12/08 08:20 I used to administer the review section of the site, I had no standing instructions to delete product reviews that were negative, indeed many negative reviews are posted. I did remove reviews that are plainly abusive, written i...

Re: CRC Reviews are BOGUS

Weird, there are quite a few negative reviews on there... Have a look here and here . Also there are a few people from CRC on singletrack from time and they seem pretty honest about thier products. You could give them a phone and ask them what the story is - they have always been good on the phone t...

I'm surprised it even made the news... I'm even more suprised that the Police seem to have captured all the important information - "the rider was wearing a reflective jacket and lights and would have been easy to see". No appeal for any information in the article so is it safe to assume [...

Re: Hairy stomach

I seem to remember reading a book suggesting wearing of cycling shorts appeared to cause increased hair on your stomach. Anyone noticed anything similiar. Have recently upped my commuting time and am wondering if there's a difference. I reckon there is. Why would that be? Or, anyone know what the b...

Endura Customer Service - Superb!

Hey, I bought a set of MT500 overshoes a while back (year and a couple of months) and managed to break the zips on the back of both sets on the same day two weeks ago. I made a quick phone call to Endura to ask about getting the zips repaired. They asked me to send them in so they could have a look ...

Yeah - I had one. I even had video of similar things.

Strathclyde Police couldn't / wouldn't act.

I now just try and let it slide on by and let it go.

I have had a ridiculous amount af abuse since this case came up from taxi drivers. Actually had a glass irn bru bottle smashed over me...

I dont know about insurance claims - might be worth something there. I had video footage of a taxi driver threating to kill me at a set of lights and then driving at me.

The police said they couldnt do anything as the video could be faked... seriously.
