Re: My Suspicious Mind

Is there any way to build a tazer into a bike, secretly?

Well secretly until someone's found next to your bike in a puddle of their own urine.

Re: Another "interesting" court decision

I would assume that if you were going to lie you would say you saw them clearly but that they suddenly swerved into your path, saying you didn't see them is more like an admission of guilt.

Re: I don't understand this

The photo shows a very straight road, if that is actually the correct location, either the sun was in her face the whole time, so she should have been going slower, or it was sometimes in her face and sometimes not, in which case she should have noticed the cyclist ahead on the straight road. Seems ...

Re: Another "interesting" court decision

What's interesting is that two juries were presumably given the same evidence yet neither could agree, so each had several jurors saying guilty and several not guilty. This means that continuing with more trials statistically, eventually he would be found guilty or not-guilty and if you continued wi...

Re: Hatred, stupidity or both?

I would argue that she could be considered at fault for the collision without being convicted, as the vast majority of collisions, someone is at fault, but they don't all result in convictions.

Re: Hatred, stupidity or both?

They claimed in it that there was no payment, but then why did she bother, maybe expenses?

Nice to see around 4 seconds of the cyclist concerned.

But they wouldn't like it if they weren't about to be hit by a car and weren't expecting it.

Re: Speed Limits. Do they apply to cyclists ?

In terms of momentum a cyclist hitting a stationary person at 20mph will be similar to a hard rugby tackle, but the difference is in the pointy hard bits of the bike and not being prepared for it. Also, if crashing into a child it will still be like a rugby tackle, but an adult rugby tackling a child.

Re: Taking the pooh???

I've always thought Anti-Social Behaviour Orders, ASBO's were a strange thing, as they often seemed to be being used to sort out criminal behaviour, instead of anti-social behaviour. I saw a documentary where a teenager had an ASBO banning him from stealing motorcycles, or riding motorcycles, as he ...

Re: "Cyclist thrown in cells – for having no light"

Hadn't thought of that.

Can't put a price on that!!

I always wish accident statistics were broken down into categories to remove the people vying for a Darwin award, as this would improve perception of the dangers.
