Is anyone moving?

Given recent referendum and general election results in the UK and possible future ones, is anyone considering moving? Maybe to Scotland to be just ahead of the rush, or further afield?

Re: Goodbye Old England - It's Time We Were Gone

Perhaps a lot of leavers were happy to vote for the conservative party, but not enough remainers were happy to ditch the conservative party for the remain parties. Personally I'm getting fed up of voting now, I'm 39, voted in 6 general elections and my vote has never counted for anything as it hasn'...

Re: BBC have stopped iplayer

Isn't this a Samsung problem, not a BBC one? There are other ways of getting iplayer to display on a TV. It's part of the problem of Smart TVs, they become obsolete. I'm more annoyed with the BBC for replacing the Iplayer Radio App with the terrible BBC Sounds which is horrible to use.

Re: New user + Advise on accident

Hi, welcome to the forum. I don't think apologising is an admission of guilt, not legally anyway. It was in the heat of the moment, if it was 50-50 and you were both equally to blame and both had done something wrong, wouldn't apologising be the right thing to do? He then goes home and has time to t...

How come the stars above the poles appear to be rotating in opposite directions?

Re: Black Friday

Didn't go round any shops, but did yesterday, today I shopped online. Do we still get pushing and shoving over here? I thought it only happened for a year or two then Black Friday became a week long, also it seems shops aren't offering the same massive discounts on limited stock like they did, proba...

How do you know it hasn't been edited to make him fade away so it looks like a CGI mistake?

Why wouldn't they check the videos better before releasing them if they were fake?

What is the point of this big, global conspiracy?

Re: Friendly Cambridge bike path turns into pole-wielding monster

I've seen it said on here before that people should be able to make little mistakes that don't result in serious injury or death, putting something like a dull grey post against a dull grey background just seems to be inviting problems. The post shouldn't be in the way, if there really is no other p...

Re: Friendly Cambridge bike path turns into pole-wielding monster

Yes but cars are expected to be in the road and drivers are expected to look out for them. It seems unreasonable for cyclists to have to put up with unlit, unhighlighted, almost camouflaged obstructions in the middle of cycle paths. Especially when said sign is for the adjacent road and nothing to d...

Re: Friendly Cambridge bike path turns into pole-wielding monster

Driving home in the dark today I wondered to myself how long a similar pole would last if you mounted one on a stand and put it on various roads in the way of cars. It would be an interesting experiment.

Re: It's not rocket science

Too many people would need to be in on it, like the USA and USSR would have to have collaborated throughout the Cold War, and not a single person would ever be able to say the truth. What's the point?

Re: It's not rocket science

Weight is the force of gravity acting on an object. Mass is how much of an object there is, in space, mass stays the same, because you are further from the earth, the force of gravity acting upon you is less. The force of gravity acting on the ISS and acting upon Tim Peake is the same, per kg. Both ...
