Re: School Run

I'm sure when I used to work for my Dad on his farm, people used to move their cars out into the road to try to stop us driving along it to get to our fields, this was in a small, rural village, surrounded by nothing but farmland, but also an area noted for people moving to from the busy conurbation...

Re: People shouting 'left' 'right' etc on a cylce path whilst approaching from behind

Maybe there could be a clearly presented code of conduct, perhaps with fines for people not following it. If there were some large clear signs on the entrance points to the shared space, people would know what was required of them and maybe think twice about their actions.

Re: ITV4 is driving me mental with bad 'PDC' and 'Series' tagging

For the cycling highlights, how about manually setting it to record the right channel all evening every night, then deleting it once watched, assuming you're only ever going to be a few days behind at the most. I've also got an old Humax box which seems to have been ok so far. I did have Virgin Medi...

Not exactly a cycling story, a rooftop drugs farm has been raided after being spotted on the coverage.

Re: Tadpole motortrikes.

Maybe spectators get out of the way of them more, the way cyclists are only one wheel wide to some motorists.

Think I lost mine in a house move, think it was tucked behind a wardrobe, inflated for storage as per the instructions.

I'm having a quick look at www.britainfromabove.org.uk but may well get sidetracked.

Re: Where is this?

There are more pictures. Are they in any kind of order? If so, is it possible to map any of the other locations, before and after to figure out a route. Or single out the pictures with the same group in the same clothes? May as well get going on the others too, this may take some time. If it is besi...

Maybe bike stands at popular locations could be accompanied by a bike lock stand. Or sturdy locks on long chains.

Is it still an e-bike once it's tampered with?

Re: slowing down on the bike

When we first moved to our current home more than twenty years ago we used to see a (presumably) retired gentleman cycle through the village from time to time. White hair, white beard, on a touring bike. Never struggling but never looking fast. Never looking like he cared whether he was going fast ...

Standings here https://www.letour.fr/en/rankings although I suppose it could change today. It was very close before yesterday's stage I think.

Currently it's Sebastian Langeveld.

Re: 2019 Tour de France: Spoilers!

Also spare a thought for the various groups riding the tour stages a day early, who presumably rode the whole route of stages 19 and 20 and the participants of the Etape due Tour who rode stage 20 last week.

I wonder who's lining up for La Vuelta.

Re: 2019 Tour de France: Spoilers!

Bernal may have won the polka dots too if stages hadn't been cut short. I wonder if the same two stages will appear again in the same order next year or soon after. Looking back, there seems to be a few riders happy to try their best to not lose but not do much to try to win. Although this could be ...

Re: 2019 Tour de France: Spoilers!

We'll never know what would have happened, which is annoying. Some idiot asked Dave Brailsford if he was happy Team Ineos may have just won the tour because of a natural disaster. It isn't won yet, and if they don't win it, it could be because of the weather, as they both may have gained more time o...
