Re: is it possible?

I take it you've only done 40 to 50 miles in a year? If that's correct then you need to do some serious training to be ready for lejog. To do it in 9 days you're looking at 100 miles a day. It is possible so get out on the bike now

Re: Dealing with mosquitos

Have you tried Jungle Formula? I used it everyday in Cuba and didn't get one bite. Bought mine from Asda

Re: Dealing with mosquitos

This is going to sound strange but try taking antihistamines. It won't stop them biting you but it will stop you coming out in big red bite marks

Re: Trailing behind me Brompton...

I have a Brompton and use a Burley Travoy. I use it for shopping and for camping trips and find it ideal.

Re: Good multi-tool model

It's got to be a Swiss Army knife. I've got two and I've one of them for almost 25 years and it's still in great condition

which tent and sleeping bag would you use for Iceland?

I've been to Iceland in August and it certainly isn't cold. I was walking around in shorts. Stays light overnight. Lovely place though

Re: Bromptons - Not Impressed

I have a hybrid type bike and a 6 speed Brompton with rack and I love riding the Brompton. It just makes me smile as soon as I start to ride. Yes, it's a bit twitchy at the front end and it doesn't like potholes but it's so practical. Plus, isn't cycling all about having fun?

Re: B'Twin Wheels

It's the top left on that page. When you select it it mentions double wall but doesn't say anything about the spokes so I think I'll visit the shop to confirm. Cheers

B'Twin Wheels

I'm looking at replacing the wheels on my mountain bike. I'm looking at the B'twin double walled 26inch wheels. Anyone used these? Are they good or bad?

I use a Burley Travoy. Expensive but very good quality. Folds flat for storage.

Re: Small cycle computer for Brompton

I've got a Brompton and I use a Garmin Edge 200. Gives me all the info I need plus it comes with 2 mounts so I can use it on my other bike [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]
