Re: B&M Toplight Line brake plus power problem

thanks brucey.

I'm wedded to the idea of taking it back to the shop and asking them to prove it works :)
Normally i'm capable of fixing computers, lcd monitors or whatever myself. Never thought i'd get done over by basics as testing lights in serial...

Re: Pannier Security on Tour

I try to avoid leaving my bike on tour. I lock it up for quick trip into shop for drink/water. Going to a supermarket. i carry the panniers round in a trolley. Other than that mini padlocks to keep the paniers attached work well for a 5 minute stop. If people want to rummage through my used underwea...

Re: Is touring becoming a thing of the past?

I also think once you've bought a touring bike which is very reliable, you dont tend to need another... This doesnt pander to economics, and the buy more culture.

Re: Head On Crash Avoidance........Two Bikes!

my favourite is the pedestrian on the cycle path trying to be helpful by stepping forwards, and backwards so no matter how much you swerve they still seem to be in the way forcing you to a dead stop. I had my revenge though later on the road, took primary through a zebra crossing, only to have a sma...

Re: CYCLISTS ARE OWN BIGGEST DANGER

I think its also that people underestimate risk. I know I do when im thinking of tucking into an aero position on a tourer going downhill.... Getting back to the OP and the original person who made the comment, I think they approached it from a risk management perspective, and it was lost in transla...

Re: I need help on choosing a Touring bike

Fluffybunnyuk, is the helicopter tape for the frame? How often should I oil my bike and does it matter what oil I use? lastly is the dynamo hub for powering lights on my bike? for tunnels etc? the tape is like a seethrough film that covers the frame. It takes time and care to fit without bubbles fo...
