Re: Bless me father for I have sinned.....
The people of Coatbridge should count you as a local hero for reducing the winter 'dreichness factor, by increasing the ambient temperature, go in peace.

Re: test
Thanks for taking the time to explain all that Mick,it's all a bit too early in the year ! I'll have another go later on, if you haven't read the bikeretrogrouch site, there's some stuff on there about his Mercian Vincitore and Superlight which should be right up your bike path! The retrogrouch site is a totallydifferent thing and seems to be a political rant type site.

Re: Recommended Cycle Blogs
I can't see these two in the above lists. The first one is Myra Van Inwegens bike articles. It's a well written site about cycling, with many articles to inform cyclists new or old, male or female in an informative yet unpatronising way.www.myra-simon.com/bike/tips.html Five star site in my opinion.
The second one is The Retrogrouch. Modern is not always best, is his U.S.P, the latest article is about Reynolds tubing, interesting site from Ohio in the U.S. bikeretrogrouch.blogspot.co.uk, I like it 'cos the articles mesh nicely with my 7 speed cassette!
Safe cycling in 2014 to everyone.

Re: Anxiety and cycling
I used to get slightly anxious when I hadn't eaten enough, say skipping lunch for instance, not particularly whilst cycling, it wasn't until someone pointed that out to me I realised what was going on, low blood sugar or something I suppose, I don't know the medical explanation.I try and make sure I've eaten plenty before I go out and top up during the day.I notice you mention nutrition in your original post. Hope you sort it out.
