I regularly do 52mph down a big steep hill round my way. But I only overtake the

Re: Thinking about a fixed

I think you're better off with s fixed/freewheel option.
Trouble is a good one costs will over £500 and the cheap Raleighs ect are heavy and horrible!

Re: Boris Johnson - Slot-brained, jovial psychopath or just

I commute every day. I reckon less than 1% of cyclists I see RLJ.
And even then it's only to get themselves ahead of heavy traffic turning left

Re: Train fares

Carlisle to Birmingham, 185 miles: £ 77 one way

Paris to Tours, 178 miles: €29 one way

Something very far wrong with train ticket prices in the UK

Re: Blindingly bright rear light

I use a pound shop five led rear light. It is very bright in flashing mode but not bright enough to blind.
Highly recommended, very waterproof and only £1!

Re: Blindingly bright rear light

I've got a Cree T6 hesd torch and is far too bright for Road cycling.
Off road another matter it illuminates the path at least 400m in a very
Natural white light in front of me.

I went touring in Spain this summer with a maplins flat solar bpanel in the map pocket of my front bag.
It could charge two devices via usb and four batteries simultaneously.
