Re: Train fares

I always split Carlise to Manchester via Preston. It saves me roughly £17 on a day
return. Mad, but true!

Re: Boris Johnson - Slot-brained, jovial psychopath or just

Yes. Jovial psychopaths do tend to get to the top of the pile pretty quickly in British politics. Where I am based (North East) The coppers turn a firm blind eye to the vast majority of RLJing as the seem to realise that most cyclists only do it to get away first from snarling traffic and dangerous ...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJbBoojJHS4&feature=youtube_gdata_player Here's tne YouTube link to Cameron jumping reds and cycling the wrong way up a one way street. Five prosecutable road traffic offences in one morning. ... Hypocrites... They'll probably try and delete it before the weekend....

Boris Johnson - Slot-brained, jovial psychopath or just mad?

I think round condemnation should fall on this squalid little man's head for such an insult to the recently bereaved. Typical Tory blame game to extricate himself from the ordure. There are bad cyclists as there are bad drivers. To single out cyclists is despicable after such carnage on the roads. C...

Re: "Cyclist thrown in cells – for having no light"

And Johnson lays the blame for 5 deaths in 9 days at the victims door! Not 24hrs after the last poor soul is killed. Nasty people, running a nasty party, hell bent on developing an even nastier Police state. You couldn't make it up. If it was five drug deaths or five people killed by terrorists ther...

Re: "Cyclist thrown in cells – for having no light"

Boris 'Mad Dog' Johnson wants to use City centre cctv to track and punish cyclists and dedicate some percentage of the capitols surveillance network to this activity exclusively. Another Tory nutter wants to see all cyclists wear a Yellow noddy jacket with a registration number on the back and presu...

Re: Being Hit

In France driversv are automatically to blame unless extenuating circumstances.
Fines can go from 3-15, 000 euro for hitting a cyclist.

Re: Being Hit

My driver would probably have got points and a fine but b I'm glad
I took the cash option because I would likely have been months getting
any compensation.

Re: Being Hit

I walked away from an incident (I was the victim) with a four figure sum
to repkace my bike and for hassle of being knocked off. Sometimes it's
better just to negotiate on the spot. Very few ppl want the police or insurance
company involvement.
