Believe I have, somewhere in a "bacca tin" Brooks type large copper rivets.
If you need these I will put them in the post if you will make donation to "Charlottes Tandems".

Re: Hub Dynamo for winter commute.

I presume you wont do this in next couple of weeks??? Could be well worth your while to see what's available second hand? First try advert here on CTC "Wanted" board. Then similar ad. in "ARRIVEE"; the AUDAX mag. or other similar sites YACF. 20 years ago best lighting options for...

Re: Help needed for CharlottesTandems.co.uk

Hello , just spotted this looking through the site. FROM NOVEMBER 2015!!! Hope all is well with you and your splendid work. previously I piloted tandems for local Blind club. Very rewarding though now ,at 77, I can't haul anyone else round. I would be very pleased to assist your efforts by drawing a...

Raggy Heirlooms re-openning February

Google it for reasons for closing down. As token of our Ponteland CTC groups appreciation we invited the good lady to our XMAS Lunch. Enjoyed it so much she has ALREADY booked for 8th. December 2020! This DIY café will re-open February. Everything you need is there--just make your pot of tea/cup of ...

Re: My objection to Gift Aid

I respect your policy of not consciously avoiding but paying "your share" of tax. This "tax fiddle" is small fry compared to the BILLIONS gathered by mr Cameron snr, funding our previous spineless. ex. pm. with his global tax avoidance companies. Remember the man? no better; to f...

Re: Old inner tubes, or just get new to cut up?

To pad out flask try simple "green" solution.
Recycle a JIFFY BAG/padded envelope.
Stops any rattling in cage and also extra insulation.

First time I did this clubmate pointed to address and said-
His mam has put that on in case he gets lost!!
! was 73 then!

Re: Help for a Geordie girl.

Not an exact answer but some local help will be available. Our Ponteland group, meet Tuesdays-2 or 3 rides, at Merton Hall, Ponteland-tea, coffee biscuit for 30p, at 10am for ride to leave (in theory) at 10.30. Runs leader from Bedlington Station and member from Blyth usually there so will guide you...

As almost all above advise, change them.
Have pair used "ONE23" bars 42cm.w x 31.8 diam.
You can have these for postage cost.
If you want them pm. me your phone number.
At 77 I don't think I will be building any more bikes up!!

Re: Book recommendations and why?

Have you read any or all of these? "In Pursuit of Stardom"-- Tony Hewson-not "ghosted"-- he wrote it. I still rage at the arrogance of the interviewing professor (privately educated??) who said Tony was "way off his moorings" in that he wanted to "read" French...

Re: Jack Taylor (Ladies) - Where to sell?

This bike will be a collectors item in USA. You could try contacting RUSA. Randoneurs U S A a sister organisation to our AUDAX UK where, as here in UK there will be savvy old vets . Possibly that would open up links. I don't know if Americans have CTC? Maybe the Society of American Wheel men. I seem...

Re: A place to record lenient sentencing for motorvehicle....

Does anyone know what was the sentence for the driver who admitted killing "elderly" mother of Chris Boardman? No doubt defence counsel could plead that this was a "contributory factor" and that the driver wasn't really guilty as charged-just a victim of the circumstances, him be...
