Re: Effective Top Tube MTB vs Gravel Bike

I went from a 29er with Jones Loops to a Fargo with drops - Woodchippers - and hated it. As a winter project I was planning on changing to the new raised Jones Loops and a complete XT 2x11 speed groupset. Meanwhile I put an adjustable stem on and raised the bars and over the summer I have found I ac...

This may or may not be relevant but over in another place there is a 29 page thread about the Arkose.

Re: Winter Cycling Gloves ?

There is a pair of new SealSkinz Highland on the Corrieyairack Pass which I dropped which you are welcome to if you find them. If it was me I would be thinking of layering especially if I could find a winter rated mitten either lobster or single finger that I could have Merino liner gloves inside an...

Re: How to hillstart on a steep lane

Hill starts easy - for me.
Set the crank arm just past tdc with lowest gear.
Brakes full on.
Stand on pedals and release brakes and off you go.
Need weight forward to avoid a manual or back flip.

Re: Girona to Biaritz

Have a look at this and see if you can use it or bits of it.
The map does not load properly on my computer but there is enough information to be able to work out the route.
There is usually a gps included but could not see one.

Re: RD cage length

Yes centre to centre. Type 2 has a clutch mechanism - apparently. It's supposed stop chain slap on rough descents or the crap road surfaces round here but doesn't. I cant find the information on the sram website regarding cage length but working on the assumption its a long cage. I want to fit a Sun...

RD cage length

Can anyone confirm that a SRAM X9 2x10 type 2 long cage is 100mm centre to centre please?
Also where is the technical stuff hidden on the SRAM website regarding cog and chain capacity?

Spyre mounting bolts

Can anyone point me to the TRP Spyre fixing bolt assembly for mounting calipers on post mounts please? I have a pair of used Spyres to fit and only ever used BB7 before so don’t know what washers and spacers they need or what size and length bolt? There is a lot of information but nobody actually sa...

Think I would add Salsa and Surly to the list.
They are American but as a Fargo rider I can live with that.
