Why groups of 3or 4?
I still recall the police making riders of the National 400 in Fife years ago insisting a group of 4 every couple of minutes. Imagine how frustrated drivers were with that by the time they tried to pass their twentieth group?

Re: SCOTLAND.............

I .. This has been a singularly ill-tempered campaign. I wish it could have been otherwise. I haven't noticed the "ill-tempered" but I do wish it had been otherwise. I wish the better together hadn't; started off so complacent, threatened us Hurriedly put together some last minute carrot....

Re: SCOTLAND.............

The Bank of England is not owned by England, it is the central bank of the UK, and was founded by a Scot. The Bank of England is just that. It could have been founded by an Martian for all I care, but the Bank of England pre-dates the Acts of Union. BofE was formed by Charles Montagu, 1st Earl of H...

Re: SCOTLAND.............

I have a vote on Thursday. Born in England but having lived longer in Scotland now at 62. I've been undecided for months but I now believe I will vote Yes. Reason is I'm sick of the threats from better together and I'm so despondent of views from the very many like Mick F. They just don't seem to ge...

Re: First dynamo

A custom build will be what you specified then?
Now using a dynohub I'd never go back to a side wall dynamo. I'd recommend making do with battery lights until you could afford a dynohub.

On day 6 at mile 8 I would use the relief road A689 gets you to Dalston far quicker than fighting through Carlisle with traffic and traffic lights.

Re: Which puncture resistant tyres for a hybrid.

I've commuted, 60ml/week, for three yrs with Marathon plus. Had one puncture and they've just worn out. I've got a bit tired of the very stiff ride and have just fitted Continentsl Country Plus. They were a lot easier to fit and initial feeling is a kinder ride. I audaxed for years on Gatorskins but...

Re: JOGLE challenge?

I think in my sighting that was an invisible cyclist. I followed for a half mile I then drove a couple of miles on and sat in a lay-by. Waited and witnessed the very same scene.
