Re: Cable Pull SA 3sp requirements

If the Sunrace shifter is like the non-indexed LH Shimano Dura-ace and Ultegra bar end shifters, it will have a marked indent in the middle position. You can set 2nd gear to the indent to give you an accurate shift every time.

Re: Noisy Sturmey Archer 3sp

Don't think there is one in modern 3 speeds.... 3 and 1 are easy - it's the position for 2 that needs to be accurate... if you aren't engaging the pawns fully then it could be doing damage inside I've got a couple of sets of Shimano bar end shifters, and the LH 'front' shifter isn't indexed but it ...

Re: Which 3 splined driver for Sturmey Archer AM hub gear

I've used a 4 legged, three splined driver from a Sturmey AW (ie like the HSA123 driver) to replace the 12 spline driver in an AM hub . It works and it's a straightforward swap. :D If you look at the old parts lists on Tony Hadland's site , you'll see the part number of the driver in the AW and AM a...

26t 3 lug sprocket for a Sturmey on eBay here. Not cheap though.

Re: What have you tried and liked (or not) in 2016?

Last your, I particularly liked:

- Trying a fixed wheel bike for the first time - I've now ridden fixed exclusively for nine months and still loving it :D
- Finally teaching my 8 year old daughter to ride her bike :D
- Riding the Prudential London-Surrey 100 (on fixed)

Re: Thinking of more gears

PG stainless steel spokes in various sizes available for 30p each with nipples - http://www.billys.co.uk/english/group.php?prod=skha-bmxss That's useful to know - I could only find them in black last time I looked :D I think they'll be too long for Mick's wheel though - I think I needed 172/174mm s...

SJS do short spokes for pretty cheap - around a tenner for 36 I think. Otherwise reasonably priced short BMX spokes come up on eBay. It all adds up though, I suppose...

Re: Thinking of more gears

No, the Intego pushrod is longer than the ones on standard Nexus 3 speeds though, as I say, I would guess it wouldn't be too hard to make your own if needs be.

Re: Thinking of more gears

I've used both the Sturmey and Shimano hybrid cassette 3 speed hubs. The Shimano Intego has a much smoother shift than the Sturmey, and it does take a 10 speed cassette as I have one on mine. However, as Brucey says, parts for the Intego are next to impossible to get. For example, the hub sold by Ba...

I notice that there's place in S Wales named Moulton. Sounds like a good place to visit! Moulton. There's also a Moulton at Northampton (although slightly south of the logical route line . . . and it's pretty much an industrial area IIRC) Rob There's also a Moulton in Suffolk, just east of Newmarke...

Re: which front mech works with Campag Xenon Escape?

AFAIK any Campag QS front mech should work fine with an Escape (aka Powershift) shifter. I had Centaur QS Escape Ergo's shifting fine with a Racing T QS front mech on my Moulton TSR30.
