Re: Nuts about presta valves

A few of my tubes aren't even threaded so can't take nuts. I don't bother with them.

3, stop at the pub, pie and chips and a pint. Carry on with lights after the sun has gone down.

Re: aluminium vs carbon & gears

I agree with Ian If you're not racing get a comfortable bike. The first bike I bought when I returned to cycling was a Specialised Allez which has Shimano 105 groupset and Mavic Aksium wheels and 23mm tyres. My thinking was I wanted the lightest and best specced bike I could afford. Along came winte...

Re: Tablets !

My wife is prescribed EPO, needless to say she is not well and not fit. She does have a sense of humour though, and when first prescribed it asked the doctor if she would be able to win the Tour De France next year. He didn't understand.

Re: aluminium vs carbon & gears

It's easier to upgrade gears, but probably pointless, once you own a bike than it is to upgrade a frame, having said that do you need a carbon frame, it may be a fraction lighter but that doesn't mean it's better. I am not familiar with the bikes in question but it's possible that Ally frame is bett...

Re: How bad is it to remove ball bearings with a magnet?

Something else new I've learnt on this forum. I've always used a magnet and never thought about it.
Now I just need to decide whether it's something I should worry about

Re: Tablets !

I'm the same, I started on 30mg Lansoprazole, then dropped to 15, and I am now off then altogether and haven't had any problems for about 3 years now.

Re: Lejog Wheels , I'm new be kind ..

You mention saddle sores since you moved your saddle. Obviously you need to sort that out but it may well be the saddle. I have given up with Specialised saddles, I haven't ever found a comfortable one, they just don't suit me. I currently have a £30.00 Planet X saddle, I have the same saddle fitted...

I have implemented a mobile responsive theme on a forum I run, and it is really quite nice and works well. Is that phpBB and if so, what theme? Yes phpBB This is the theme http://themeforest.net/item/coralis-responsive-theme-for-phpbb3/5891252?WT.oss_phrase=&WT.oss_rank=20&WT.z_author=KomiD...

Re: Tapatalk requests tiresome

I have implemented a mobile responsive theme on a forum I run, and it is really quite nice and works well. People still continue to use Tapatalk, including myself, and we are seeing a growth in the percentage of users and percentage of posts coming from Tapatalk. I know some people do not like TapaT...

Re: Tapatalk requests tiresome

Took a while to get used to the new Tapatalk but now I have I prefer it over the old one.

I much prefer accessing the forum on Tapatalk, I don't bother using forums that don't have Tapatalk support.

Re: MIO or Garmin?

I have a Garmin 800, so similar to the 810. You don't have to buy the official maps as they are freely available on the Internet. I think mine is brilliant and would highly recommend it. I already had the heart rate monitor from my running watch. I would recommend the newer version of the cadence an...

Re: New commuter bike advice

I have a Sirrus Elite which I use for commuting. Mine is an older version without disc brakes, I specifically didn't want discs as I don't know how to maintain them. I have had one problem which is I have had to move my panniers as far back as I can get them, I still hit them with my heels occasiona...
