Skillful cyclist? Riding in the gutter, head affixed firmly straight ahead, didn't shoulder check once the whole time...

Haters will hate. Logic doesn't get anywhere near the issue.

Approximately 0.25 per year.

Pedestrians kill more cyclists than cyclists kill pedestrians.

Re: Expected 'lifetime' of a 7005 alum frame??

Too open a question. 7005 is the raw material but there are quite literally thousands of combinations of butting, tube manipulation, heat treatment, methods of bonding or welding etc to give a sensible answer.

Re: Pavement cycling illegal for 200 years

In legal terms there is no such entity as a pavement. There is a footpath, and a foot way.

Re: No helmet = no pursuit

Its been public knowledge for years. At the best of times it's difficult to get a 2 wheeled pursuit authorised because if the poor little luvvies fall off and hurt themselves the pursuing officer risks prosecution. Under ECHR his right to life trumps the Feds right to nab him.

Re: Adult Cycle Training - how do you find clients?

Advanced road skills, advanced off road skills, skills pertinent to individual categories of EMS user (eg police patrol stuff, search techniques for SAR etc), first aid to FASTaid level, defensive tactics, all sorts of weird and wonderful stuff. I can even teach techniques for armed officers on cycl...

Re: How to complain about bad driving.

The original post is riddled with errors, technical, procedural, and frankly moral. For example, dangerous driving itself is not a criminal offence, it's a motoring offence, although any particular individual act in this regard could be a criminal offence in its own right (eg, manslaughter). When yo...

Re: USA report

Not very authoritative. Words like "probably" and "suggests" pop up uncomfortably frequently when the terms "because" and "has proven to be because" would actually tell us something substantive. A vague peer review of studies originally based on vague conclusi...

2. No.

Re: Schumacher's helmet cam caused his injury

Agreed. Attaching a solid object 1/2" from your skull while riding a bike seems daft. Only if you plan to fall onto your head. I've worn head-band attached light before and the only reason I've ever worn a 'cycle helmet' is as a convenient, stable and relatively comfortable platform on which t...

There is no treatment. Best you can hope for is to treat the symptoms while the illness runs its course.
