Re: Tory leader - place your bets

I'm sure BoJo is crapping himself. The only 2 Tories more inept than Gove, more disliked by the public, are Hunt and Grayling - Gove's not likely to be considered a favoured candidate by the public, and there's little point picking someone for his (supposed) ideological stance if he's that disliked ...

Re: I drove a normal car yesterday

Anyone got any ideas on the best "normal" cars out there? I'm talking good second hand and not very small (we already have one of those). Maybe a very efficient petrol engine. Don't care about it being a tad slow. I was looking at a Focus with a sub 1 litre engine. That's a very open ques...

Re: I drove a normal car yesterday

Black Cat time. Black Catting, is saying that my black cat is blacker than your black cat. I've been drawing my Service Pension since leaving the RN in early April 1996. That's just a tad over 23years. Four years more, and I'll have been a Service Veteran longer than I was actually serving. ...

Re: Tory leader - place your bets

.....thinking about it though that's not much different to the rest of the Tory party  When the results from the Euro elections start to roll in tomorrow, I think we'll find that none of the established political parties have any remaining grip on reality. Reality has moved swiftly on and lef...

Re: Any feedback about Hilltrek Kintail Shirt?

Just a word on price...I get my regular shirts tailored to fit me because of my chest size, and they don't cost £105 each! I know the fabric is a special weave and all that malarkey, but even so that's a touch pricy.

That being the case, why are Remainers so quick to lay blame where it suits them?

Re: Grrr - Lidl replaces Sheffield stands with Wheel Benders

It narks me off that my GP surgery doesnt have a single cycle stand, not even a piddly wheelbender. I get annoyed at having to use a car to drive 2 villages across to see the quack or collect a prescription simply because there's nowhere to secure a bike.

It's quite likely that an autonomous car will be the only thing Guy Martin will soon be allowed in.

Re: I drove a normal car yesterday

I have driven auto and manual and have no preference. The only thing I have against auto is the feeling that there might be a bit more to go wrong. True autos, ie, proper olde worlde torque converter boxes, are far more reliable than manuals. The main stress bearing component is the fluid. That sai...

What's the point? You'll only get to the top to find some eejut has parked their car parked 2 wheels up on it.
