Re: Intimidating Motorists?

It's a skin coloured cycling top, and that's where I stash my spare tube, gels, and wedding cake.

Re: Intimidating Motorists?

Its easy not to respond to so when one is psychologically adjusted. I dont get much anyway - one of the perks of being the same height, weight, and not dissimilar build to Dolph Lundgren is the few that do start off that way usually become amusingly contrite when they get close enough to eyeball me ...

Re: I drove a normal car yesterday

My Grandma was one of them folk. Problem is, which driving a auto allowed to to scrape through her test and get he moving it did nothing to address the innate lack of spatial awareness or mechanical sympathy, so she was a shocking driver. Genuine disability, fair play, their reasons for needing an a...

Re: I drove a normal car yesterday

I worked in the states for a spell. and while autos are the majority, "stick shift" is far more common over there than auto is over here, particularly among more conventionally sized Euro and Japanese cars. When I was earning my coin there maybe a quarter-ish of cars were manual. Auto is e...

Apparently I resemble Mark Brandon Read, hence my nickname of "Chopper".

Re: Intimidating Motorists?

Potential offences under section 4a or 4 of the Public Order Act, so you could be arrested. In 3 decades I'd arrested dozens, hundreds of people doing just as you describe. It's a stupid thing to do - don't attempt to deliberately intimidate anyone in public unless you're happy to risk either arrest...

Re: Tory leader - place your bets

I see BoJo has had a haircut in a vain attempt to not look as if he slept in a hedge. An attempt to improve his image in readiness for a power grab, or was it simply so long before that he kept standing on it?

Re: I drove a normal car yesterday

I happened to be browsing the net for a replacement car a couple of days ago and as I was looking at reviews (by "experts") I noticed that I was still seeing automatic systems being described as unreliable, troublesome and slow to react. So there does still seem to be a reason to view the...

Re: Cowering pedestrians -is it just me?

I don't have a problem. spot them well in advance, assess their movement and behaviour, and adjust approach as necessary. I'm sure if I blatted past them flat out with inches of clearance that might send a few cowering, but I prefer to spread the word of peace and love when out enjoying myself on th...

Re: I drove a normal car yesterday

Mazda were better, even in their early days, but typically still don't have the durability of a typical reciprocating car engine. Even the modern ones have an horrendous thirst for oil. Speaking of which, mention of the Ro80 got me reading. It seems that their first for oil was such that NSU eventua...
