Re: I drove a normal car yesterday
Rotor tip seals and chamber wall wear. Materials technology hadn't quite caught up with the design. A fair few ended up with multiple replacement engines, but the only guaranteed cure was the popular Ford V4 conversion.

Re: Tory leader - place your bets
Is Baronet Moseley dead? I grant you, he's a bit middle if the road, but otherwise he fits the bill. Failing that, Jamie Oliver is looking for work. He's young, eager, and his business acumen will stand him in good stead when getting our economy back on track. Ok, a bit over qualified perhaps, but s...

The name is irrelevant.
So you're suggesting Tony Blair? I like your thinking!

I was going to suggest Attila the Hun, but Mrs Dopestrong has pointed out that a) he's no longer alive, and b) he's a bit left wing compared to some of the other candidates.
Personally, I don't think point a) should automatically disqualify him.

Re: dozey pedestrians
It’s easy enough to adjust how you use it, ie the quieter ‘horn’ mode as a start, at a reasonable distance, then wait for any response, then the horn at a bit closer range. Then if that has no effect, the full blast shrill at closer range. I’ve yet to encounter it not having the desired effect. All...

On a completely unrelated note, my Grandad was a Cornish speaker.

Looks like something thats been stolen, disguised with bits from other stolen bikes, and then sold on the Swag Ads for £30.
Good to see a politician riding a bike though.

Re: Who Did You Vote for in the EU Elections?
None of them.
It pains me not to vote, but I want no part in electing any of my local candidates to elected office, such is my distaste for either them or their parties. There is no comedy alternative to fritter my vote on, so it remains firmly in my pocket this time around.

And no doubt you drive in a similar manner. Ever wondered why some motorists have little regard, eg close passes, for dozy cyclists blocking th...

Unfortunately, Farage lives in the UK where it is considered an assault. In any case, it's not as if the Secret Service have a stellar record of keeping their customers safe and well.

Looking through my list of local candidates in readiness for tomorrow - what a hopeless shower of guano. You know politics is broken when the Monster Raving Loony candidate looks like the most sensible option.

Re: Comedy on Channel 5
It was much the same with parking on police premises. More drivers than spaces. This led to ridiculous double parking, abuse of the disabled bays etc, the sort of thing an officer might themselves be called to deal with should it have occurred in public. Even more ridiculous, 2/3 of the cars there w...
