Re: Can't get tandem into granny ring

I've fitted the jump stop today -had to modify it slightly as the bottom of the inner cage was fouling it. The limit screw was already adjusted out so far as to not make any difference if unscrewed any furher. The cable seems fine and well lubed and no problem with the cable guide. Unfortunately Lyn...

Re: Ten Miles a Day

After only doing a total of 1355 in total last year, I've managed 314 in January, mainly as a result of extending my daily commute and trying to also get out at lunchtimes, so I've had a good start to the year. This is despite losing 4 days to a heavy cold and some weekend commitments that have stop...

Re: Can't get tandem into granny ring

I'll need to check it out. It is a Thorn Voyager bought secondhand about 3 years ago from a company specialising in riding with blind / partially sited stokers when they were replacing their fleet. I did call thorn to check out 9 speed compatibility and they told me it should be fine, but will have ...

Re: Can't get tandem into granny ring

Thanks for the replies guys. I have ordered n-gear jumpstop which hopefully will be here before the end of the week. The current set up is 3 x 7, but I have a new 9 speed freewheel and chain to fit at the weekend, so will also check out the other suggestions at the same time. I am also looking at re...

Can't get tandem into granny ring

We have been out on the tandem a few times over the last couple of months and are unable to get it into the granny ring. We are trying to change gear prior to he hill starting so there is no real load and are easing off on the pedals when trying to change, but to no avail. If I put the bike on a wor...

Proud as punch!!

Video of my 2 year old grandson, 2nd time out on the bike we got him for Christmas. He has had a balance bike since the summer and has been happily going around the local BMX track on it, so not too surprised he has picked up being able to pedal so quickly :D Sorry, not sure where the previous link ...

Re: Sky Ride

We used them last September to find an easy group ride we could do on our tandem. The ride was on mainly quiet roads from Sutton Park to Kingsbury Water park. Group size was around 30 in total with 3 Sky leaders. It was all very sociable and we had great fun and would look to use them again.
