Cycle Caravans
The first time I saw the KampRite camper I thought that I could use the tent part over a trailer like a Burley Nomad. Smaller and lighter than the bushtrekka. I know the tent is still quite heavy but i would use it on towpaths and flatter routes. I’d attach it with a hinge mechanism to be able to get at things in the trailer. It would make a nice afternoon siesta not having to really find a spot to pitch a tent.

Re: Stirling, Falkirk area.
I cycled from Edinburgh Quay along the towpath right to the Wheel. The Kelpies are nearby on another towpath.
Get the inside tour of Kelpies. It gives a whole different perspective of it. A nighttime stop there is so cool.
I'm a trendy consumer. Just look at my wobbly bog brush using hovercraft full of eels

Have I ruined my brooks B17?
How does tallow get on your clothes? Brooks Proofhide is only used on the underside of the saddle. Once in the saddle’s life. Black or brown shoe polish on the topside.Albrecht wrote:I don't know but it's what Brooks said this week.MikeF wrote: ↑29 Jul 2022, 7:07pmThat was during the BSE epidemic, but doesn't apply now https://www.gov.uk/guidance/bse. I don't there is an age limit.
As an aside, I use Nikwax conditioner on mine. Don't like the idea of tallow all over my jeans or shorts, and don't like what they're doing to bees these days.
Beeswax is bees' wax.

The (ir)responsibily of the Media
Just a note to those not in Scotland, The Herald on Sunday is considered by many to be the leading "liberal" Scottish Sunday paper. God help us.[/quote]

I say g'day.
I was in a Newcastle cafe years ago and I could not understand our waitress. Another waitress came over and told us they could not understand her either because she was from York. I thought it was just me.

Hadrian's Wall is worth the ride. But going east after Greenhead we hiked the middle third. That was worth getting off the bikes.

Best winter Gloves?
I use BarrMitts during cold weather. The pogies are wind and water proof. On really cold days I throw in hand warmers and still wear my regular gloves.
