The only time I have done this route I went down the Rhone to Avignon, over Ventoux, through Canyon de Verdon and down Route Napoleon into Nice. From there followed the coast through Monacco into Italy, San Remo and Genoa. Fantastic ride full of variation. Word of warning; Genoa is one awful place t...

Thanks for this section

I would just like to express my thanks to the Administrators for creating this Touring section. Thanks again.

julk, where were you a few weeks back when I came through Dalkeith in the pouring rain looking for a campsite. Ended up at one down by the shore near Leith. Regarding LEJOG. Once in Scotland my favoured route is up the West Coast to Fort William. Go through Dumfries and Galloway towards Ayr. Follow ...

Di: Hoping they have a Welsh Cycling Festival again this year and if so I will definately be there.

Si: Cotswold Camping give a 15% CTC discount on them. I only have the smaller compact camera version as this is what I mainly take on a tour. It does however seem to cope okay with my DSLR.

Usernames

One iritatting fact of the old board was the Staff Members and Council Members that attempted to squash any items uncomplementary to the CTC. They did this under anonymous usernames. Some were known to other posters, but some were not. Would it not be open and add to discussions if these people who ...

Whilst I appriciate Marc's point and acknowledge the efforts of the administrators, I do think these matters should have been discussed BEFORE the new board was activated. This could have be accomplished by not being in such a hurry to close down the old board but run it for an extra week to get the...

As I stated previously what I would wish is better clarification of sections. Also not to try and shove Touring under the carpet, which seems to be happening within the CTC (irrespective of what is HQ says). So in the categories I would put touring in a section of it’s own. Also questions and discus...

Re: Confusing areas

I am saddened to see that no one seems to have thought out the new board. The categories have too many cross overs and could have been better defined. Surely if MTB's can have there own category then Touring and Expedition should have there's? Is it intended that we should use the People, Events &a...
