Re: Record attempt scheduled

Whitchurch is another issue. Always better for the normal LEJOGer to go through the centre of town on the old road as it's shorter and there's shops and facilities. Maybe quicker to do the bypass. Good road. Cycled through the town a few times, and driven that way in the old days, but since the byp...

Re: Record attempt scheduled

Telford 19:40 vs 18:30

but Twitter says:

14 hours in: 582 miles to go.
15 minutes behind schedule.
Rain backing off now.

Worcester at 17:15 = 12 hours in. The MB record and the schedule was to/did reach it after 11:30 of cycling.

Re: Record attempt scheduled

Do these Record Breakers have "the knowledge" about the route like our riders did, or do they have a communication device to keep them on track? Or just a TCX on a Garmin? MB said he had a number of Garmin units (that they rotated because the charge doesn't last long enough). My guess is ...

Re: Record attempt scheduled

MB started faster than his own schedule and was consistently in front till he had the bad patch, largely with his neck. He fell back but was only very briefly down on his schedule at 600 miles then got back on terms. If I've got it right, IT's current schedule is to start slower than MB but to take...

Re: Record attempt scheduled

PS. If I've understood Paulatic's graph correctly, then Ian To is slowly but consistently dropping behind his own schedule. (I'm not a math's teacher BTW  ) His new schedule, as far as I can see, should have him matching MB's times almost exactly until he gets to Kidderminster, where the r...

Re: Record attempt scheduled

Just like these record breaker attempters. How can they cope if there's a road closed? That would be the end of their attempt. You can't press a pause button on the schedule. 7.21 pm Perth - 607 miles 1 hr 47 down after her short break. Lynne is eating and drinking well now with no signs of sicknes...

Re: Record attempt scheduled

Don’t know whether it’s his work or available somewhere. Questions on Twitter regarding his schedule and tapering have so far been ignored. Definitely his, he posted some others earlier in the week with the promise of a live update when IT started his attempt. Good man, us armchair dot watchers nee...
