Re: Drivetrain longevity: wax or oil?

Well that was a disaster!!! I cleaned and dipped my chain and paraffin wax as stated. Re: Drivetrain longevity: wax or oil?

Thanks for all your replies, I thought I would try the paraffin wax method as my wife has a wax heater. I removed the chain from my road bike and washed it in petrol then soaked it in hot paraffin wax for a couple of minutes. I removed it and let it cool and refitted the chain. When I back pedalled ...

Drivetrain longevity: wax or oil?

Has anyone ever conducted a long term test using different types of chain lube? I never know wether to use a wax based lube or an oil. I find the problem with using oil is if you twist the chain you can hear the grit inside the rollers, but does a wax provide a friction free surface as good as oil? ...

Re: Statins - side effects

I had terrible side effects with statins, I tried simvasta atorvastat etc etc. I had really bad muscle cramps, it was like cramp x10. I saw a bio chemist and he put me on azetimibe without any side effects at all but they are not quite as effective as statins. The heart specialist advised me that th...

Battlefields tour 2015 sharing photos

I have just returned from the superb WW1 Battlefields tour, I was wondering if there is a method or system set up where we can share each other's photos?

Many thanks
