Why wouldn't any grease suitable for vehicle bearings be OK? I guess there is less heat in cycle bearings than a car, say, so high temperature greases would be overkill, but normal lithium grease should be OK shouldn't it? If the seals are sus then why not white grease since this is recommended for ...

50/50 hypoid oil/ wax mixture as stated above
It is just about solid at room temp.

I've been experimenting with chain lube. Firstly I tried Hypoid Gear Oil. This was quite good. Then I had the idea of mixing Hypoid with wax. For the last 1,000 miles I've used a 50/50 hypoid oil/ wax mixture, applied hot. The chain has done about 2,000 miles with little wear. I expect to get the sa...

I'm on chrome. If I try to view BikeRadar the page flashes up before disappearing for ever. This has been happening for several weeks now. I used to read many of their articles and reviews but now it's hopeless.
Any ideas?

When I had the wire wheels from my car powder coated by Redditch Shotblasters they used crunched up aluminium foil to keep the colour out of the cavities in the hub - if that helps
