Re: ALDI CIDER

7-8% is pretty much the ballpark for classy 'craft' ciders in the UK, which you can pay up to a tenner a bottle (500ml). If you think that's strong, check out this commercially available British cider at 70% proof... No joke! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2681332/Sipping-recommended-Britis...

Re: "Supermoon" nonsense....

The Leonid meteor shower is up this Thursday/Friday. Peaking on Friday night 10.30pm till 5am Saturday. Get out there in some dark forests and take a gander. I saw it last year on the isle of Skye and even through thin clouds the result was stunning.

Re: Trump Wins!

I'll say this: in all my nearly 50 years of being an enfranchised voter, only once , repeat once , has an election in the UK gone the way I voted. And I don't expect any change before my time comes and I am consigned to my coffin. Am I not entitled to feel a wee bit disgruntled? Well this is indeed...

Re: Purchasing advice:Cannondale Synapse Disc 105 vs BMC Granfondo GF01 Disc 105

Hello, I am interested in purchasing one of these bikes. Both are the 2016 models, carbon, disc brakes and 105 group sets. The Cannondale is 1620 pounds and the BMC 2124 pounds. Does anyone have any opinions or advice about which of these bikes to purchase? Quality of ride, comfort, any issues etc....

Re: Trump Wins!

What US citizens are 'accepting' is the American constitution, because they have no choice: this is what sets the 'rules of the game' of the election. But the constitution is deeply flawed in every respect, as this latest fiasco underlines. If I were a US citizen, I'd be one of many calling for the...

Re: 1 X 11 speed

with the single chainring the chain line is brilliant. Can't figure that one out, surely a single ring on the front is going to mean the gears at the ends of the cassette are further from the chainline. Well because the single ring is bang in the middle (that's how I set it up) of the cassette it d...

Re: Trump Wins!

Hardly. If it was they'd have got to Edward Snowden by now. To off Snowdon would make the U.S. even more of an international pariah than it already is. Think 'diplomatic' disaster. Think of the bigger picture, it's more convenient to keep him alive till his 'visa' in Russia expires in 2017, then br...
