Triple butted aluminum frame is it any good?
I just bought a triple butted Ridgeway 6061 frame, no forks. Came cheap, has full disc mounts, 700C and a nice gusset under the down tube for strength. With headset/hanger/bolts it's just over 1600gr. Is this any good for a disc frame, the quality and the paint finish seem bang on.

Re: Proof of ID may be needed for NHS care, says health chief
If the government is sure enough of my identity and residence here to tax me then they should be equally sure of the same when I require use of the services my tax pays for. It shouldn't be up to me to prove it. What about someone who doesn't have a passport because they don't travel abroad, no dri...

Re: £121 billion hole in Brexit
Can there be a GE before 2020? I thought a certain Mr Cameroon, presiding over a shaky coalition, introduced fixed term parliaments. Not sure what that means in terms of legislation though. Anyway, what are the alternatives? Re-elect May, or elect Corbin, who doesn't have any more clue how to eithe...

£121 billion hole in Brexit
£121 billion in extra borrowing will be required to fund Brexit. This is £21 billion more than even the Bank of England or the ONS feared in the * worst case scenario. Any government that sits on this level of national debt increase when the promise was to 'balance the books by 2020' is not long for...

Re: supply a chat bubble
Oh I've done plenty of photoshopping - and I know what a meme is (a word first coined by Richard Dawkins, for your information - though you probably didn't want to know that...). As to being rude.... It's not Photoshop, it's a simple 'any idiot can do it' online app. I'm sure you could manag...

Re: Europe’s leaders to force Britain into hard Brexit
Norway and its sovereign fund - I wish I was Norwegian, has a sensible govt. Does Norway have a national debt? As with Saudi Arabia the answer is probably No. But does it matter? Is it relevant to anything? Norway has been very lucky to find itself sitting on a huge reservoir of hydrocarbons, makin...

Like dis! (various attachments) You know, I thought the idea of the OP was to invite captions to the photograph as displayed . Of course if you prefer to take over the thread, do your own thing, and photoshop your own fake pictures, fine. Go ahead. But maybe on a separate thread? Try googling 'inte...

Re: Europe’s leaders to force Britain into hard Brexit
$900 billion in the bank... Enough to feed the starving of the world twice over. So what has the UK done with Scotland's oil revenues in the same period? Tax cuts for the rich, regeneration of the south of England. Built the apparatus for the City of London. It's all went south since 1980. The Scot...

Re: Trump Wins!
Thus nothing has been overturned. Not yet. But there's another GE in the offing before Brexits over, I'll put my Campagnolo cycling cap on it. Chairman May won't see out her term. Read, educate yourself. Try the world outside of your isolated, feather bedded, totally protectionist bubble of Norway....

Re: Everybody's Making Plans for Nigel
Err, still there and happily continuing "business as usual". Ian Erm, not really. 'Business as usual' was milking the European system, free trade and most importantly of all (30% of our current GDP revenues) free financial passsporting for the banking industry, which is just about to go p...

We couldn't afford the Heinz variety but I do remember getting exactly the same glee as other kids with two Safeway own brand yellow label tins! Happy days. Beans are beans though. It was other kids with Um Bongo - they make it in the Congo! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYj5o4kQsXs&sns=em

Re: Trump Wins!
Trump Jnr would certainly remember what it was like to be 'poor'. Fred stumbled upon a business opportunity in an era of U.S. construction economics when there was effectively no competitive response. Ridiculous rumours fly around about what kind of cash Trump inherited. Basically he took quite a m...

Re: Europe’s leaders to force Britain into hard Brexit
Funnily enough it isn't. The immigration debate is raging here nicely too and Post-truthism is rearing its ugly head. So as an immigrant here in Norway I am fully aware of the issues. Besides, I still have family* in the UK to worry about. Given recent UK events, humour is one of the few things we ...
