Do not forget to add a dram of Highland Water (Whisky) makes for a better experience.

Re: Submarines, deterrent and missiles
Do not forget contamination of the water supply. Reservoirs are easy targets and contamination of domestic water will cause untold problems. Just remember the incident near Preston recently.

Re: CTC jerseys are they still available?
Once you loose sight of where you have originated from you will never be able to puzzle out where you are going.
I well remember the shop back in the 80's. CTC Winged Wheel clothing, badges, mudguard stickers etc. All seem to have fallen BT the wayside. Apart from local group clothing how can you show loyalty to the national body. Very sad indeed.

Re: GPS
Personally I use SatMap Active 12. Expensive, yes, but it came with a full set of GB Landranger Maps which I prefer. Tough cases, cycle mounts etc are exta. Oh! it has a nice big screen too. As always it is personal preference.

An American School of Law shared the latter problem - and had to redo the name change as a result (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-35975832). Maybe CUK should follow suit (and get the consultants who have obviously CUK'd up here to pay for it!).
The new logo is certainly lacking dynamics, visual impact and also meaning.

Re: cycle security/locks when camping?
If it is just a single night trip I take a storm-shelter plus a lightweight groundsheet and the cycle "sleeps with me". Weighs considerably less than my Force Ten Mk 1 and takes up very little space. On longer trips like others have said secured to an immovable object as close to the tent as possible.

Good, secure cycle storage and nice hot showers. A campsite where cell-phones, loud music and the Internet is banned or preferably with no signal. As James Tiberius Kirk said "This is your chance to get away from it all".

Thereafter, their thoughts throughout thoughtfully threatened timewasters with egg whisks. Yolking aside, beating Chris Froome in a sack race between Basingstoke and Wigan is not to be countenanced. Even Wiggo couldn't bring himself to BBC tonight, wattle and daub walls told a story about three wheels on my wagon Wheel (159 calories/milligramme). Three wags of Lassie's tail meant that Cav would be serving for the title " Mad Manx - the enraged tailless cat " - but he double-faulted his autocued acceptance speech. Embarrassed, he three-legged it toward the cliff and followed the Lemmings, a nice couple from Chipping Ongar who base jump without the bungee but with helium-filled knickerbockers, which lead to squeaky hamsters and gerbils.

Re: Do you wear proper cycling gear !
Not really. I wear what I feel comfortable wearing. A simple Rohan Windshirt (1980's) serves me well as does a pair of Rohan shorts or Ron Hill Tracksters in summer sepending on the weather. A single Ventile jacket is worn as a windproof when necessay supplemented by a cape during wet weather.

If you get chance the moorland lanes above the Calder Valley are worth a ride. Some great pubs serving great food. Plenty of accommodation including Mankinholes YH.
