Re: Another Scottish Referendum just around the corner?
Sturgeon signalled yesterday an intention to have a second indyref in the first 6 months of next year, should Article 50 be put in to play in an expected December time frame. She'll definitely lever this decision with as much force as possible given the 62/38 Remain vote north of the border. Having ...

Re: It's not rocket science
The drilling only stopped because the heat from the magma below was liquefying the granite as the drill head cut through it.
That would be super hot magma rotating around the earth's solid iron core, in a spherical earth model, but you maybe hadn't thought of that, before you said it...

I'm scared to even try it. Apparently it's like the heroin of mobile phone games. One play and you're hooked!

Re: May could kick Brexit into the long grass.
We're out? When did that happen? I didn't think they'd even triggered article 50 yet. I agree with Psmanthe, if those wishing to post nonsense, non contributions like the above could save them for another thread, much appreciated. This is as serious a topic has ever likely been discussed on the for...

Re: Another Scottish Referendum just around the corner?
I can see Sturgeon plotting over the breakfast table this morning: ' Okay, we'll take London, and maybe as far south as Manchester, but that's it! Of course the wall will have to be electrified, with laser cannons, and then there's the problem of building a tunnel between Scotland and London... Brin...

Re: May could kick Brexit into the long grass.
... Britain can't negotiate ANY trade deals with ANYONE while it is still a member of the EU. Are the rules "can't negotiate" or "can't make/sign" and trade deals? I can see a significant "grey area" around negotiating trade deals with other than the EU. The UK could h...

Re: May could kick Brexit into the long grass.
I think a lot of people are desperate to find a way of getting out of the fact that they lost the Referendum, instead of moving on and making the best of the future. It's over. We are out and we have to forge a new future. Adjust. We're out? When did that happen? I didn't think they'd even triggere...

Re: May could kick Brexit into the long grass.
Re the whole subject of trade deals post Brexit..... This took (literally) ten seconds to Google...I'm GUESSING that if had nothing better to then I could probably find plenty of other, much better examples, but it's a start.....It's obviously not conclusive and it is 'The Mail'..... http://www.dai...

Re: May could kick Brexit into the long grass.
The conditions for re admission to the European Union as stated in Article 49 (The UK, or Scotland for example) would require an absolute majority vote to be successful. In most voting cases, when dealing with ground changing legislative procedure, and the so-called "assent procedure," it ...

May could kick Brexit into the long grass.
I read with interest on a political forum this idea of a 'third way out' for May. Since Article 50 will be a political and constitutional parting of the ways (and not a trade one, EU members are not allowed to negotiate trade deals till AFTER the two year divorce) it would leave Britain in a year ze...

Spot on, loonies! Bahahahaha… Al That's it, play the man. I've come to expect nothing less. 'Name calling' indeed. Pot, kettle, black. Perhaps you don't like having your cosy right wing sensibilities challenged? I think maybe you're unfamiliar with the theory and practice of 'debate'. Plus ca change.

Re: Another Scottish Referendum just around the corner?
How much weight can you place on a poll of 8404 people across 6 EU states? Are the people asked among the governments of the 4 EU states out of the 6 with a vote on this? Link was to an SNP Twitter account... As it's an Article 50 affected decision, it only takes a majority of the member states to ...

This is the ham sandwich I was talking about. Although seeing as it's an internet derived ham sandwich, its probably a lot of made up, badly contrived old cobblers.
A lot like this thread
