Re: It's not rocket science

Are you being serious? If an object is denser, it falls faster, which creates more drag. If an object is less dense, it falls slower, which creates less drag. you're mixing drag with energy loss due to drag which does increase with velocity (hence why the terminal velocity of different objects in't...

Re: Another Scottish Referendum just around the corner?

Unfortunately May is a woman, and a bottle blonde and a right wing, power mad reformist. Much like the erstwhile Maggie Thatcher. A person more reviled in Scotland than any other politician in the history of the country. She hasn't done herself, nor the future of the union any favours by stepping ov...

Re: 3 million face uncertainty and deportation from UK

Scotland denied Scotland the opportunity to leave the UK. Remember? Nobody is keeping them prisoner. If they show a strong and consistent desire to leave in the future they can still do that. My understanding is that the Scottish parliament has to seek approval of Westminster to hold a further refe...

Re: It's not rocket science

How can someone in Turkey and someone in Guam see the sun at the same time? Except of course they can. Get a globe, tilt it about 23 degrees from the vertical away from you to simulate summer and keep your eyes level with it. Turn it until both Turkey and Guam are visible. (I've just done it) Not o...

Re: Another Scottish Referendum just around the corner?

I'm not sure leaving the UK would mean Scotland could get back into the EU. Having just lost one of it biggest cash contributors, the UK, would the EU want to take back an ex-UK country which would not be a net contributor to the Brussels, but a drain on its finances? I doubt it. Other countries wh...

Or, put another way: It looks as if Scotland could delay article 50 until they get a Yes vote on their Independence..

Re: Another Scottish Referendum just around the corner?

Anyway, it would be vetoed by Spain, they have said as much. Scotland voted decisively to remain a member of the UK. Thats how it stands and plenty of Scots want it to remain that way. The 'Nasty Party' has departed after sorting out Gordons socialist mess. The UK needs to come together to eliminat...

Re: It's not rocket science

What's the point trying to explain it to someone who believes the tat that they roll out on YouTube without even questioning it's authenticity or it's authorship. The entire thread is an exercise in the most banal futility. Only one person laughing here and that's OP, at the ludicrousness of it all...

Re: 3 million face uncertainty and deportation from UK

The public have a lot to fear from this new regime, and I'm pretty certain this Digital Communications Act is just the tip of it.

Re: Another Scottish Referendum just around the corner?

Of course, the tired excuse for a graph is just North Sea production, test drilling is already active in 7 other Scottish sites, notably off the Clyde Coast where significant finds may very will provide high yield crude. Not that it makes a whit of difference. The Scots just want what the British no...
